bluesign is a Swiss-based independent system that evaluates the entire textile production chain — not just the final product.
01. What bluesign® Is
Instead of checking for residual chemicals after manufacturing is complete, it focuses on input stream management: the chemicals, processes, and facilities are assessed before production begins. The goal is to keep hazardous substances out of the system from the start.
It covers chemical safety, resource use (water and energy), air and water emissions, worker health and safety, and consumer safety. Materials that meet the criteria can be designated bluesign® APPROVED.
02. Why This Matters
Many performance finishes and dyes rely on chemistry that can leave residues or create problems downstream.
By requiring approved chemistry and on-site process assessments, bluesign reduces the chance that harmful substances reach the factory floor, the workers, or the finished fabric.
This is not about claiming to be the cleanest brand on the market.
It is about giving consumers clearer information so they can compare and decide what they believe is right.
03. Why taranirvana Obtained It
We engineered SpiroTex™ for structural performance — continuous filament construction and function built into the architecture rather than applied as temporary finishes.
Even with that approach, dyeing and finishing still involve chemistry. We pursued bluesign® approval because we did not want to add another "me-too" product that talks about being green while leaving the real process unchecked.
We are not trying to solve everything at once.
We are trying to take one clear step: verify the inputs and processes behind the fabric, then share that information openly.
